An Amused Joe Biden Reacts to an Unhinged Clip of Lauren Boebert

During an interview with liberal commentator Ben Meiselas, an amused President Biden reacted to a clip of MAGA Republican Lauren Boebert railing against the Inflation Reduction Act on the floor of the House of Representatives.

Meiselas interviewed the President at the CS Wind turbine factory in Pueblo, Colorado during Biden’s trip to inspect and convey the fruits of his legislative agenda—the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, the CHIPS and Science Act, and the Inflation Reduction Act.

Fueled by investments from the IRA, CS Wind is the largest turbine factory in the world, stimulating good-paying green energy jobs and stimulating economic growth in Pueblo.

Ironically, Pueblo is part of a district represented by one of the IRA’s fiercest critics and opponents, Republican Congresswoman Lauren Boebert.

Meiselas offered the President his phone, inviting Biden to react to a video of Boebert from August 2022 in which she screamed her opposition to the IRA on the floor of the House of Representatives.

“I apologize in advance for showing this to you,” Meiselas said.

Biden smiled and chuckled as Boebert ranted, “This is the exact opposite of what the American people need right now! It’s just another con game by the Democrats!”

In the video, the presiding officer cut Boebert’s microphone and tried to gavel her into silence as she continued to scream.

“If it weren’t so important, it’d be humorous,” Biden told Meiselas after. “What did she call it, a ‘massive failure’? The only massive failure occurs in her thinking.”

Boebert currently faces stiff competition from Democratic challenger Adam Frisch, whom she narrowly defeated in 2022—by a margin of some 500 votes—and who is currently outraising her in campaign funds by a factor of four.
