Before we change the plaque to say "Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, so we can put them in concentration camps and separate them from their families."

The White House has officially confirmed that the first flights containing migrants to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba have begun today - I'm sure this day will one day be written on a study guide for a history test under the section header "The Fall of the American empire in its 249th year". Very interesting to be living through the bullet points in the "factors leading up to" section.
Last week, Donald Trump signed an executive order directing the Department of Defense and the Department of Homeland Security to prepare the world-renowned military torture facility Guantanamo Bay to get ready for up to 30,000 humans as the government prepares to deport them back to their home country.
Guantanamo Bay is most known for being the living place of prisoners of war detained by the United States. Several prisoners remain, including the mastermind 9/11 terrorist attacks, who are definitely as bad as someone living a normal life in America sans citizenship.
If you're worried about whether people will be unjustly detained in this facility or be locked up with terrorists there's no need to worry - Kristi Noem, the Secretary of Homeland Security, has said "It is not the intention of the federal government to house the migrants without due process or for an indefinite period of time." And as we know, good intentions are all that matters and DEFINITELY haven't been used to pave a road to hell.
The worry stems from the fact that Guantanamo Bay is (in)famous for its historic lack of due process for the individuals held there. Kristi Noem has made no comment to whether or not the immigrants detained in Guantanamo will be subject to the alleged torture perpetrated at the facility.
