Donald Trump has signed a flurry of executive orders that are sending our country back a hundred years. Here's what he's done in the past 48 hours.

  • Pardoned Ross Ulbrecht, the creator of the Silk Road. The Silk Road was an anonymous dark web marketplace used to traffic weapons, drugs, and humans. The Marketplace also traded CSAM, aided in money laundering, and more.

  • Stripped churches and schools of immigration enforcement protections meaning immigration authorities can now enter schools, healthcare facilities and places of worship to conduct arrests

  • Is set to put federal DEI Staff on leave

  • Revoked the Equal Employment Opportunity Act of 1965.

  • Reversed a Biden-era census policy that included the total number of persons residing in each state in those census results. It was issued in response to Trump's attempt during the national tally in 2020 to exclude millions of U.S. residents without legal status. Trump's previous efforts sought to include a citizenship question on the census.

  • Ordered the end of humanitarian parole for migrants from 4 countries - Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela. Trump instructed the Department of Homeland Security to "terminate all categorical parole programs that are contrary to the policies of the United States established in my Executive Orders,"

  • Withdrew the US from the Paris Climate Agreement for a second time

  • Signed an order reclassifying thousands of career civil servants so they can be more easily fired and replaced

  • Signed executive actions aimed at reinterpreting the 14th Amendment to mean those born in the U.S. don't get automatic citizenship essentially ending birthright citizenship

  • Issued pardons and commutations to every defendant charged and convicted in connection to the Jan. 6 insurrection. This includes people convicted of assaulting police on that day with bats, poles, pepper spray, and other weapons.

Honestly, I'm speechless that one man can decree an end to laws and regulations that only exist to protect the innocent. Only 1456 days to go...

One person should not have so much power.

We in Germany learned that the hard way. I hope you don't have too.

Trump also stopped health agencies like the CDC from being required to post data to the public.
