Draft Dodging Trump Wants a Military Parade in His Honor

Well, it looks like Donald "Bone Spurs" Trump may finally get his coveted military parade.

The Washington City Paper reports that Donald Trump has "randomly" chosen June 14, 2025—the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army, Flag Day, and coincidentally also his own 79th birthday—as the big day to finally get the military parade he's always wanted. If we weren't all being subjugated to it, the cartoonish dictator behavior would be laughable. Unfortunately, this is our reality.

Trump made his desire for a grand military parade well known during his first term. However, the idea taken straight from the fascist handbook was rightfully responded to with pushback from military leaders as well as the D.C. government. Other than the inappropriate use of the military, the request was denied due to the estimated $92 million cost to the military and cost the city of DC over $21 million in public safety costs. With Trump's sycophantic regime falling in line with his every order, it looks like Trump will get his strongman show of power.

Trump has dismissed nearly all career military leadership, firing four-star Gen. Charles Q. Brown Jr. as chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, as well as leaders in the Navy and Air Force, including the top lawyers of those two branches and the Army. These firings are leaving a power vacuum waiting to be filled with loyalists who would defend his parade if it is challenged in the courts.

With all of the regulations removed, and guardrails dismantled I have to ask - who watches the watchers?
