Fox News, Republican Leader Literally Bend Time to Blame Joe Biden For Things

In a rant about censorship, Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel told Fox News anchor Martha McCallum that the “Biden White House” “killed the Hunter Biden story” and “dictating” to social media companies “what they put on their platforms” before the 2020 election.

The problem with her interpretation of events is that—at least in this timeline—the “Biden White House” didn’t exist before the 2020 presidential election.

Donald J. Trump, a Republican whom McDaniel enthusiastically supported, was President of the United States during the election until Joe Biden’s inauguration on January 21st, 2021.

McCallum, supposedly one of Fox News’ “straight journalists,” did not correct the record—suggesting that she, too, doesn’t understand how time works.

This is not the first time prominent Republicans and conservative commentators have struggled to comprehend linear time.

For example, many right wingers continue to publicly blame President Biden for the riots which occurred during the largely peaceful George Floyd protests in 2020, when Biden was merely a political candidate and Trump was the nation’s chief executive responsible for and empowered to maintain law and order.

Barring reports that Joe Biden in fact possesses Dr. Strange’s Time Stone, such claims made by Fox News, the Republican Party, and right wingers in general who indulge in revisionist history should be met with derision.
