During an appearance on The View, House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries touted President Biden’s successful administrative record.

“In terms of President Biden, he’s got an incredible track record of success,” the Democratic leader told the panel. “And we just have to connect that track record of success with his vision for the next four years and make it clear that the things that he has presided over have been extraordinary.”

Jeffries, one of the Democratic Party’s most formidable rhetoricians and communicators, rattled through an abridged list of the president’s many triumphs.

“From, you know, the American Rescue Plan, where we put shots in arms, money in pockets, kids back in school. Rescued the economy from a once-in-a-century pandemic and have now allowed that economy to emerge as the strongest in the world,” Jeffries began, adding that there is “still more work that needs to be done, but an incredible foundation.”

He continued, referring to the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law: “Fixing our crumbling bridges, roads, tunnels, our airports, our mass transit system. High speed internet access in every single community.”

“Gun safety legislation for the first time in 30 years that will save lives,” Jeffries added, referring to the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act.

“College loan forgiveness,” Joy Behar interjected to a nodding Jeffries.

“And, of course, striking the dramatic blow against the climate crisis,” Jeffries said, referring to the climate provisions of the Inflation Reduction Act, “and lowering the high price of life-saving prescription drugs for millions of Americans.”
