I Know It's a Distraction From Something Bigger, But Let's Talk About the Trump-Musk Breakup

THE GIRLS ARE FIGHTING! Breaking up this publicly is a messy choice, but the internet has been having a ball watching it. It all started over Trump's "Big Beautiful Bill". Actually, it started before that. Let me explain.
Trump hates losers. As a textbook narcissist, Trump can't stand to be associated with anyone he thinks makes him look bad. So, back in April, when Musk funneled millions into the Wisconsin Supreme Court race to back the republican candidate, who then still lost - that was strike one in the relationship. Strike two was Musk's failed election meddling for the German far-right party. The third strike hit Trump close to home - a failed business. As Tesla stocks plummeted faster than a SpaceX ship, Musk's billions couldn't cover up his loser stink.
THEN, you add on the fact that DOGE has been an outright public failure, and you've got Elon "voluntarily" leaving the White House.
Now, for about a week, Musk has been sowing discontent with Trump's bill that will decimate Americans over 10 years, calling it a "massive, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional spending bill" and a "disgusting abomination". A broken clock is right twice a day, even if it's self serving.

In a move to save face, Musk then claimed that the bill would “defeat all the cost savings achieved” by DOGE. As a petty response, Trump posts a screenshot of Musk's announcement from May about leaving government. SHADE.

Musk responds by retweeting a post claiming “the majority” of Republican voters want the budget bill “trimmed down,” adding “Yes.” He follows this up with a flurry of retweets, sharing old Trump posts, like the one criticizing Republican lawmakers for raising the debt ceiling, or one saying “no member of Congress should be eligible for reelection” if the US budget isn’t balanced.

Trump then goes on TV to confirm the breakup with Musk, saying he was “very disappointed” in the tech billionaire after he repeatedly blasted the president’s bill.
“Elon and I had a great relationship. I don’t know if we will anymore." Tragic.
NINE Minutes after the interview, Musk, in a ketamine haze, posts another fleet of tweets saying to cut the fat from the bill and that "he doesn't even CARE about the EV credit thing, even though it's SUPER unfair." I'm paraphrasing, of course.

Musk then disputes Trump’s claim that Musk reviewed the budget bill, saying he was not shown the bill “even once,” and blasts out that Trump would have lost the election if not for him. Wait, what did he mean by that? Judging by his two previous failures, it couldn't JUST be about financial backing... right?
In a follow-up post, Musk says, “such ingratitude.” He follows this up with a video from Trump’s promotion of Tesla at the White House earlier this year, during which the president said Musk “never asked me for a thing.”
Musk then fully crashes out, so here's a list of things he posts next:
Musk encourages lawmakers to “Keep the EV/solar incentives cuts in the bill,” but also "cut all the crazy spending increases.”
Musk posts a claim that the budget bill will increase the US deficit to $2.5 trillion.
“Kill Bill.”
Musk starts Twitter poll asking if America needs a new political party.
Shared a video of him in 2021 claiming Tesla doesn’t rely on EV subsidies.
Only one hour has passed for all of this, by the way.
Then, out of nowhere, one of Musk's baby mamas, Ashley St. Clair, offers Trump “breakup advice.”
Musk begins attacking Congress saying, "Where is the Mike Johnson of 2023!?" and posting old tweets and videos of republicans fighting against raising the debt. Musk then claims that members of Congress didn’t have time to read the budget bill.
Trump claims he asked Musk to leave the administration and took away his "his EV mandate," after which he alleges Musk "just went CRAZY!"
The tweets just keep coming, and it feels impossible to report them all, but boy, was it insane. Especially when he drops his "truth bomb," the reason we don't have access to the Epstein files is that Trump is all over them. He follows up with a video of Trump and Epstein cozied up. Well DUH, we know that already.
All of this feels like a smokescreen to cover up some other atrocities the Trump administration is committing. But what else do you expect from the reality show regime?
I predict they "make up" by Monday.
