J.D Vance Gets Booed On His Way to Ski Lodge

JD Vance found out that you can't just make America look bad and suffer zero consequences. Much like the bad guy in an 80's movie who wants to buy the mountain, Vance was met with hundreds of protesters at the slopes. The protesters were most likely venting their anger after the debacle in the White House where Vance called Zelensky “disrespectful,” and repeatedly demanded that he thank the U.S. government.

In an obvious nod to the current administration's constant bowing to Putin, one demonstrator held a sign that said, “Vance is a traitor go ski in Russia.” Other protesters held pride flags, pro-Ukraine posters, anti-Musk, anti-Trump, and anti-Vance signs.

One employee, Lucy Welch, posted about her feelings on Vance coming to her resort. Welch typically writes morning snow reports to inform visitors about the day’s conditions. However, on this day she chose to write about the imminent danger brought on by the Trump administration. “We are living in a really scary and really serious time.”

She added that the resort’s natural beauty is threatened by the Trump administration’s “direct attack” on national park employees, and negligence regarding climate change.

SpaceX Office Gets Protested

A large protest against Elon Musk broke out at the SpaceX facility in Hawthorne on Saturday. Hundreds gathered outside with signs dunking on Elon and criticizing President Donald Trump.

A small town in West Virginia with a 90% white population where 23.2% live in poverty has lead service lines scattered throughout the city, which has caused issues in some children’s blood. In 2023, the environmental justice division of the EPA introduced a program to increase lead testing. Now, the future of the program is uncertain, due to the Trump Administration’s laser focus on hurting various minorities by destroying efforts to prioritize diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and environmental justice initiatives. A proposed expansion of the lead-testing program to states like Ohio is threatened as well.

In fact, the EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin said, “The days of irresponsibly shoveling boatloads of cash to far-left activist groups in the name of environmental justice and climate equity are over.” He added, on Feb. 22, "UPDATE: I just canceled another 21 wasteful DEI and Environmental Justice grants, with the help of our amazing @DOGE team, racking up $67m more in savings!"

Harrison County, where it is located, voted for Trump by a margin of 40 percentage points in 2024.

Musk Begins Massive Social Security Administration Firings

Elon Musk has begun the process of gutting Social Security and has started firing a huge portion of its already tiny team. They are aiming to get rid of 50% of the department. Musk used his same old trick - accept the cash buyout, or risk getting fired.

Trump has sworn up and down that Social Security "will not be touched," but as we know, his words mean less than nothing. Republicans are actively destroying Social Security so they can give themselves, and their billionaire donors trillions in tax handouts.
