President Biden and Democrats raised more than $42 million in January 2024 and have $130 million in cash-on-hand.

The sum represents a record-setting total for a Democratic candidate at this stage of a presidential election cycle.

The president’s reelection campaign reported that January was its strongest grassroots fundraising month since its launch and that 97% of donations have been under $200.

Former president Donald Trump has not yet released his campaign’s January fundraising totals, but previous disclosures reveal that the Biden-Harris campaign has consistently outperformed Trump and the Republicans by considerable margins.

“While Team Biden-Harris continues to build on its fundraising machine, Republicans are divided — either spending money fighting Donald Trump, or spending money in support of Donald Trump's extreme and losing agenda,” said Julie Chavez Rodriguez, the president’s campaign manager.

Additionally, Trump has spent considerable fundraising sums on his own legal fees, as he faces a formidable array of indictments and prosecutions.

In early February, it was revealed by Trump’s campaign finance reports that their fundraising apparatus spent more than $50 million in such legal fees.
