A memoir written by Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene has been savaged by negative reviews from professionals and everyday readers alike.

Greene—yes, that Greene—wrote an eponymously titled memoir called MTG. At the time of writing, the book has a 1-star rating on Amazon but fares slightly better on Barnes & Noble’s website at a surprising 1.2.

The publisher’s summary of the book is predictably obsequious, referring to Greene as a “MAGA firebrand” who is “known for her humor and honesty.”

Amazon reviewers disagreed.

“America First? Printed in Canada. Filled with lies,” one said, referring to the fact that MTG was published by the Canadian-based company Winning Team Publishing, which has also put out books by Donald Trump and election denier Kari Lake.

Another reviewer said they made the “boring mistake” of reading the book after watching their “neighbor throwing this book into the trash.”

Among the many widely-publicized falsehoods written by Greene in her memoir is the claim that “not one Democrat was willing to stay to defend” the House chamber as Greene’s MAGA allies besieged it on January 6th, 2021.

Democratic Congressman Jason Crow—a former veteran—debunked Greene’s lies: “For those of us who were there on January 6 and actually defended the chamber from violent insurrectionists, her view is patently false. She doesn’t know what she’s talking about.”

It seems increasingly unlikely MTG will be optioned into a Hollywood film.
