More People Think the Earth is Flat than Like George Santos

Ever wonder just how much people dislike Republican Congressman George Santos? A hilarious segment on CNN, courtesy of data analyst Harry Enten, has the answer—paired with shocking statistics.
Enten begins by reminding the viewer that Santos’s favorability rating is a meager 7%—lower even than Democrat Bob Menendez, the similarly ethically-compromised politician who edges Santos out by one percentage point.
Enten ratchets up the humiliation by explaining to CNN anchor John Berman that at least 10% of Americans believe the Earth is flat and that 12% believe the federal government faked the moon landing in the 1960s.
“You can pretty much get 10% of Americans to agree on anything,” Enten remarked, “But even in New York’s third district, you can’t get 10% of voters to say they like George Santos.”
Santos’s troubles don’t end with embarrassing statistics.
The pathologically-lying fraud is currently under federal indictment by the Justice Department, the target of a condemning report from the House Ethics Committee, and is currently the subject of a Congressional resolution for expulsion, introduced recently by the chairman of that very same committee.
Despite having previously waffled on the subject before, Santos now claims he will not seek re-election in 2024.
But if past behavior is any indication of future performance, that may very well change by this time next week.
