Pocket Watching: Trump is Ruining Waffle House

Waffle House announced it will be adding a 50-cent surcharge to all egg items due to rising egg costs as a result of bird flu.
In a statement, the comfort food franchise said the surcharge was triggered by the highly infectious virus, which has affected the chicken population and caused an egg shortage. Since December, more than 13 million hens have been destroyed after the bird flu outbreak, according to the Agriculture Department.
In the past year, the average price for a dozen eggs in the U.S. has jumped a WHOPPING 50%, and the cost increase appears to have accelerated since November. I can't imagine what could have happened in November to have impacted this other than the election of Donald Trump.
Okay I was mad before. BUT THIS IS FUCKING WAR. As a vegetarian, I don't have a ton of options at waho. And to anyone who thinks I should go ahead and eat the meat, every single person I know who eats meat HAS GOTTEN FOOD POISONING in the last 3 months. Nothing is safe. Grow the three sisters in your backyard.
