Mike Davis, a Trump loyalist attorney aspiring to be his next Attorney General, has publicly—and repeatedly—threatened to “indict, detain, denaturalize, and deport” Mehdi Hasan, a progressive MSNBC commentator.

Davis, a long-time conservative activist who has worked with future-Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch and Republican Senator Chuck Grassley, has increasingly embraced the Trump-brand of incendiary rhetoric, earning plaudits even from Trump’s son, Don Jr.

Multiple Trump insiders have reportedly pitched that Trump should make Davis the nation’s chief law enforcement officer if he wins back the White House in 2024.

Consequently, Davis was one of the subjects of a recent segment by progressive political commentator and MSNBC host Mehdi Hasan.

In the segment, intended to highlight the threat posed by a second Trump presidency by discussing the radicals and authoritarians whom Trump is courting, Hasan discussed Davis’s public threats to send journalists to “the D.C. gulag” and calls to “arm up against the violent Black underclass.”

Afterwards, Davis took to Twitter to declare that “@mehdirhasan is now on my Lists 2 (indict), 4 (detain), 6 (denaturalize), and 3 (deport).”

Hasan sarcastically fired back: “Nothing at all unconstitutional, fascistic, or bigoted about any of this.”
