Things Are Looking Really Bad for Lauren Boebert

Lauren Boebert, the Republican Congresswoman representing Colorado’s 3rd district, just received some devastating news regarding her 2024 reelection campaign.
Her opponent, Democratic challenger Adam Frisch, raised a formidable $3.4 million in 2023’s third quarter—more than four times Boebert’s relatively paltry $808,000.
Also impressive is the fact that Frisch’s proverbial war chest is the product of more than 100,000 donations (with an average of $32).
These figures are absolutely devastating for the incumbent Republican, but it’s nothing new. In Q2 2023, Frisch outfunded Boebert by a factor of three: $2.6 million to Boebert’s $818,000.
Though the election is more than a year away, this is a wildly encouraging sign for Frisch, who challenged Boebert in 2022 and lost by a mere 546 votes, in what was the closest Congressional election of the year.
A defeat for Boebert next year would simultaneously reduce the razor thin House Republican, silence one of the loudest voices of their far-right Freedom Caucus, and embarrass one of the most prominent MAGA darlings.
