CBS reports that "dozens" of job applicants for the Trump White House have stated that their interview process consisted of being taken to Mar-a-Lago, sitting down in a room, and being questioned about their stances on the 2020 election and the January 6th insurrection, in an obvious loyalty test to the new president.
Applicants were questioned about the January 6th riots, and asked who they "thought" won the 2020 election. This indicates that most if not all of the Trump Whitehouse staff has had to pass a loyalty test based on Trump and not the American people. This means only people who perpetuate the lies that, the election was rigged, Trump didn't incite the insurrection but if he did it wasn't bad, and that no crimes were committed.
This unconventional and fascist-adjacent interview process has caused the Trump administration to struggle to fill open staffer positions. Trump appears to be prioritizing MAGA loyalists in place of traditional, establishment Republicans.
Funny enough, when Hitler rose to power he required all state officials to take an oath to swear loyalty to him instead of the German constitution. Weird.
