On Sunday, Trump shared a reformatted version of a New York Post article about the trade war with Canada that omitted a key and crucial sentence about Canada rejecting his suggestion of a U.S. takeover of the country.
This deletion is more than just censorship—it’s propaganda.
It's the natural conclusion of drawing on weather maps. Of lying about covid deaths. And now of telling us not to believe our eyes as he sells American lives to the highest bidder.
By constantly altering journalists’ work, Trump misleads his cult-like followers and hides information that doesn’t fit his narrative. It’s unethical and it's deceptive, and it's fascism 101.
The craziest part is that the article was Pro-Trump - it detailed how Shopify’s billionaire founder, was urging Trudeau to roll over and take Trump’s demands. But Trump still wasn’t satisfied. He changed that one, unfavorable part of the article which referenced his weirdo obsession with begging Canada to become the “cherished 51st state.” By manipulating news in this way, Trump continues his long-running assault on truth—creating a bastardized version of reality to stroke his ego.
