Donald Trump once again openly displayed his fascism by endorsing a Daily Mail voter poll in which the most popular words associated with Trump by the respondents were “revenge,” “power,” “dictatorship,” and “corruption.”
Britain’s Daily Mail conducted the poll, asking 1,000 likely to use one word to describe the political goals of Trump and President Biden, his most probable 2024 rival.
The contrast between the two candidates is stark.
Whereas Biden’s goals were most commonly associated with words like “nothing,” “economy,” “peace,” and “power,” Trump’s top four were consistently and substantially more ominous.
More ominous still, however, was Trump’s decision to “ReTruth” (or share) the word cloud results on his personal profile on the faltering social media outlet Truth Social.
This apparent endorsement of the poll’s respondents’ answers is merely the latest in a string of nakedly authoritarian declarations by the former president, who recently and repeatedly told the public he intends to be a “dictator.”
Trump has also claimed he intends to wield the awesome powers of the presidency against his critics and political opponents if he’s granted a second term, particularly via the Justice Department.
This sinister agenda has been corroborated not only by Trump’s words and credible reporting, but public admissions from some of Trump’s close advisors like Steve Bannon and Kash Patel.
