During a promotional interview for his upcoming book about Donald Trump, Tired of Winning, journalist Jonathan Karl revealed that Trump withdrew his endorsement of a MAGA Republican in 2022 when the candidate refused to publicly call for the removal of President Biden and reinstatement of Trump.

Karl dropped that particular bombshell during an interview with MSNBC host and ex-Biden press secretary Jen Psaki.

According to Karl, former Republican Congressman Mo Brooks of Alaska explained to him how he lost an endorsement Trump had previously, publicly provided.

In 2022, Brooks ran for Senate and had been openly endorsed by Trump in the primary—which is why so many were shocked when Trump publicly revoked that same endorsement that March, citing vague disagreements about the 2020 election.

At the time, Trump claimed Brooks “went woke” by urging voters to put the results of the 2020 election behind them.

More than a year and a half later, Karl provides additional details.

Brooks says Trump made an unannounced call to him and made specific demands: he wanted Brooks to publicly call for President Biden to be removed from the White House, call for a re-running of the 2020 election, and for Trump to be reinstated as president.

Trump withdrew his support days later when the otherwise loyal Brooks refused, proving once again that the former president is incapable of reciprocal loyalty.
